Thanks for the support you've given us

Thank you for all of the sweet and thoughtful notes you've sent to both Jack and I. Your kind words and loving support has meant a lot to not only me, but to Jack as well. Thank you. I know I'll never forget it.

For the majority of my life, Gay Marriages have been a pipe dream for many of us. We're friends with several long term gay couples who have wanted to be married for years. For a long time, I think I put the thought of marriage out of my mind because I didn't believe that it would really ever become accepted. The pessimist in me sometimes still thinks that it will never be. The hopeful and more optimistic Shayne says that patience is a virtue and one day everyone will have the right to marry who they love, no matter the gender.

Only time will tell on his controversial matter. In the meantime, I'll proudly wear the ring he gave me, and know that we have all of the support from our friends here. We'll keep hoping that one day it will not only be official in the eyes of our family and dear friends, but in the eyes of the law, too.

We love and appreciate you all.

Thank you. I really do have the most fabulous friends.

  2. Shayne, I'm so very happy for you and Jack!

I hate the fact that you can't express your love for each other by getting married at this time. God willing it will be an option for all GLBT people everywhere one day soon.

In the meantime, I wish you both much love and happiness. You've been blessed to find each other and to have loving and supportive family and friends.

    *big hugs to you both*

  5. You and Jack belong together. He told me when you said "Yes" he had never felt happier than at that moment. Change will come.
In the eyes of God, you and your friends and family you are bonded together forever.
I love y'all. Have fun tonight.

  6. You've got me crying again! Like Andi said, you two have an eternal bond. I pray every day that you'll be able to have that official ceremony. You and Jack have found the love and commitment for which many people spend a lifetime searching, and I want the optimistic Shayne to ignore the pessimistic one. I have faith that some day you'll get the wedding and legal recognition you deserve.

    Love you both!

  7. You and Jack are wonderful people. It makes me sick to think you can't marry like you want. I'm with every one else. One day it will happen. We are all pulling for you both!

Until then, you can keep practicing for your honeymoon. *g*

  8. As you both know, Josh and I couldn't be happier that you two plan on marrying someday. You both fit together like two peas in a pod. You are meant to be together forever.
Keep thinking positive. Change will come. Josh and I will stand beside you both and fight until it does happen for all of us.
    We love you both.
