TGIF!

I don't know about everyone else, but I am very happy that the weekend is almost here. Tonight Jack and I have Movie and Game night with some friends instead of our normal date night we have on Fridays. I'm a little disappointed because I really enjoy our dates, but it will be nice hanging around and playing games tonight, too.

I think we might keep the kids on Saturday. We went to Jack's sister's house last night and they were really begging to come over. We still haven't decided if they will or not. I wouldn't mind putting it off for until next weekend. I would like to have a lazy weekend of being with Jack, reading, talking to my BFF, watching movies and playing with our worthless dogs. No pressure. Just a relaxing good time.

I think I'm getting lazy in my old age! LOL!

I hope all of my friends have a fabulous weekend!

Happy Hump Day!

Since everyone has posted some fabulous eye candy (thank you Shawn, Shell Bell and Ava) I thought I needed to share some too. YUM!

Not a lot has happened, which is a good thing. Jack's been busy at work and I've been cooking and baking like the crazy man I am!

Jack and I will be attending a Movie and Game night, Friday night. Otherwise, I think we'll be chillin' at home. I'm happy about that because I'm ready to just stay home, watch movies, eat junk food and relax with my long haired beauty. (Shawn's not allowed to have scissors anywhere near me or Jack) LOL!

Hope everyone has a fabulous day today!

Thanks for the support you've given us

Thank you for all of the sweet and thoughtful notes you've sent to both Jack and I. Your kind words and loving support has meant a lot to not only me, but to Jack as well. Thank you. I know I'll never forget it.

For the majority of my life, Gay Marriages have been a pipe dream for many of us. We're friends with several long term gay couples who have wanted to be married for years. For a long time, I think I put the thought of marriage out of my mind because I didn't believe that it would really ever become accepted. The pessimist in me sometimes still thinks that it will never be. The hopeful and more optimistic Shayne says that patience is a virtue and one day everyone will have the right to marry who they love, no matter the gender.

Only time will tell on his controversial matter. In the meantime, I'll proudly wear the ring he gave me, and know that we have all of the support from our friends here. We'll keep hoping that one day it will not only be official in the eyes of our family and dear friends, but in the eyes of the law, too.

We love and appreciate you all.

Thank you. I really do have the most fabulous friends.

Mean people really do suck...and not in a good way.

Hi Friends!

It's been a good weekend. Jack and I went out to eat Friday night. Saturday we spent the afternoon at his sister's house. The kids wanted to spend a couple of days with us, so they've been here for the past two days.

I've played games, watched movies, read books, I've been a rock star, ate pizza until I'm sick of it and baked cookies...I'm exhausted!

It's been fun though. They'll go home this afternoon and I'm hitting the bed to cuddle with Jack and the worthless dogs and getting some sleep!

On a pissy note...I logged in to the goodreads site and was outraged at some comments made to one of our favorite reviewers, Lily, and our dear friend, Eyre. It's a sad time we live in when we can not express ourselves fairly about a book we've read (or whatever) and have rude and spiteful comments about the reviewer and other readers. That made me sick.
I hate drama. I really do, but that really was uncalled for. I ended up making a comment of my own and flagging an inappropriate one.
Bullies shouldn't be allowed to get away with being so cruel.
I've never understood cruelty and unsolicited rudeness to others. I guess I never will.
Anyway, I guess I'm trying to say in a roundabout way, Keep your chin up girls! We got your back!

Everyone have a great holiday today! MUAH!

Shawn Lane is a Big Tease!

My BFF Shawn Lane has been a big tease to all of us this week! She's writing a fabulous new book with a character named Barnaby whom she is totally in love with!! She's been posting these pictures of this young man named Ashtyn Long who she says is the inspiration to her character Barnaby. I think I can safely say we have all been drooling over this sexy looking young man. So in celebration of my Angel Face typing her big beautiful heart out for our reading pleasure, I present one more picture of Ashtyn (Barnaby) for our viewing pleasure.
I know I can't wait to meet him! YUM is right!

We're back!

We're back!

Jack and I had a fabulous time on our vacation. Jack swept me off to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. We stayed in a very nice cabin up there. It had gorgeous views and we enjoyed ourselves quite a bit.

One bad thing about it was the snow. It was quite stunning, but so freaking cold! If you haven't been to Gatlinburg, let me tell you that you have to park your car and walk up and down the strip there. This is fine on nice warm days. Freezing temperatures did not make this a fabulous thing to do. So, we didn't get out as much as we normally would have. Believe me, both Jack and I stayed bundled up the entire time there.

It's a very romantic place and the Smokey Mountains are simply breathtaking. If you ever have the chance to go there, you should, just don't do it in the winter!

We both were ready to come home. We missed our worthless dogs and sleeping in our own bed. I swear I can't get warm though. I think I was frozen to the bone!

I hope all of you are doing fabulous!

See you soon!
